We’re delighted to welcome three new Trustees to STEPS Rehabilitation Foundation: Dr Rohit Bhide, Tom Docker, and Andy Sorsby. Each brings a wealth of expertise and experience that will strengthen the Foundation’s mission to support people recovering from life-changing injury or illness.

Dr Rohit Bhide
Dr Bhide is a Consultant in Spinal Injuries and Amputee & Prosthetics at Sheffield Teaching Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust, working at both the Princess Royal Spinal Cord Injuries Centre and the Mobility and Specialised Rehabilitation Centre. He also serves as the clinical lead for Amputation and Prosthetics services and is an Honorary Senior Lecturer at the University of Sheffield. With specialist training in Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation from CMC, Vellore, India, and fellowships in Musculoskeletal and Spinal Cord Medicine from Toronto and Sheffield, Dr Bhide brings deep clinical insight into rehabilitation care.
Tom Docker
Tom is a Chartered Surveyor and RICS Registered Valuer with two decades of experience in adapting homes for people with a wide range of disabilities, including spinal cord injuries, acquired brain injuries, cerebral palsy, and amputations. As an Accommodation Expert Witness and a specialist in accessible housing design, Tom has supported countless individuals through rehabilitation, helping them transition into homes tailored to their long-term needs. His expertise in multidisciplinary care and accommodation solutions will provide valuable perspective to the Foundation.


Andy Sorsby
Andy is an accomplished business advisor and growth specialist with extensive experience supporting SMEs across South Yorkshire. Through his roles with the South Yorkshire Mayoral Combined Authority, Business Sheffield, and FCS Associates, Andy has helped organisations with strategy, operations, investment readiness, and funding access. As a trustee of the Steps Rehabilitation Foundation, Andy brings strategic and commercial expertise to help the charity grow sustainably, strengthen partnerships, and enhance its impact on the lives of those recovering from serious injury or illness.
